I need help activating my account.

In order to chat in Dizzywood, your account needs to be activated. To do this, a parent needs to click on the activation link in your “Dizzywood Account Activation” email. It’s the link near the top that says “Click here to activate this Dizzywood account.” If the link isn’t working, try copying and pasting it into your web browser. If you have not received your activation email, please contact us by clicking the “Report a problem” link on the lower right corner of the page, and we will resend it to you.

I can’t complete the registration steps and I really want to play in Dizzywood!

If you’re having trouble completing the registration process, please make sure you’ve done the following:

  1. Look closely to see you’ve checked all of the boxes to accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  2. Make sure the username you have chosen does not contain a real name, your location, your age or bad word, and that it is at least 4 characters long.
  3. Double check your password is at least 6 characters long, and contains a letter AND a number. Also, make sure it matches up when you re-type it the second time!
  4. Verify that your email address is valid and that both lines are identical when you re-type it.
  5. Don’t forget to choose whether you want to be a boy or girl character.

Also, here are a couple of things you can do to ensure our email gets to your inbox:

  1. Check your junk or spam folder for “Dizzywood Account Activation”
  2. Add “account-activation@dizzywood.com” to your “approved sender,” “address book” or “whitelist”

My password doesn’t seem to be working. Or I may have forgotten my password, doh!

First, check to see if you may have accidentally hit the Caps Lock button. Because your password is case-sensitive, it will not work, so just take a second look to see if that may be the “case”!

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can easily create a new one. Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to www.dizzywood.com
  2. Click the blue “Play Now” button on the right-hand side of the page
  3. On the login screen on the right, click the blue “I forgot my password” button
  4. You will see a blue message box, which will ask you to enter your username and your parent’s email address
  5. An email will be sent to this address with a link to create a new password
  6. Click on the website address in the email
  7. Choose and confirm a new password
  8. Refresh, or close and reopen your web browser
  9. Enter your username and new password and you’ll be ready to play!

Help! I can’t log into Dizzywood!

There are a few reasons you may have trouble logging into Dizzywood:

  • The Dizzywood servers might be down for maintenance. If this is the case, you should see a page with Chanjo that says Dizzywood is currently undergoing maintenance. We should have the site back up in a short time, so keep checking back!
  • Sometimes when you haven’t moved in awhile, your Dizzywood character gets stuck in our system and when you try to log in again, you’ll receive the message “This user may already be logged in. Please try again in 5 minutes.” Don’t worry! After a few minutes, our system should fix itself and you’ll be able to return to Dizzywood.
  • When a lot of people are visiting the site, sometimes it takes a little longer for things to load. Try waiting a few minutes. If Dizzywood does not appear after 5 minutes or so, please let us know.
  • You may have a firewall installed on your computer that doesn’t allow you to access Dizzywood. You will need to allow outbound traffic to remote port 9340 in addition to “whitelisting” dizzywood.com. Please ask a parent for help in adjusting these settings on your firewall!

When I try to log in, I get the message “This user may already be logged in. Please try again in 5 minutes.”

Why does my chat get blocked?

You may be temporarily blocked from chatting on Dizzywood. It’s possible that you may have forgotten about Dizzywood’s Code of Conduct:

I pledge to treat others with the same respect in Dizzywood as I would in real life. I will not use bad language or act inappropriately. I will not use Dizzywood as a dating or hookup site. I will report anything that makes me feel uncomfortable to my parents and the moderators at Dizzywood. I will not use any third-party programs or other methods to cheat while playing. Most of all, I promise to have fun, use my imagination, and welcome new adventures!

Or you might have also broken one of these rules:

  • No swearing
  • No name calling
  • No fighting or bullying
  • No giving out or asking for personal information
  • No dating
  • No advertising
  • No flooding or spamming
  • No cheating

Sometimes our chat blockers make mistakes too! If this happens to you, don’t worry. You’re not in trouble and your chat will return shortly. We are very committed to making our site a safe and fun place, so thank you for your help in following these rules!

What are my payment options?

We currently have the credit card options of Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We are always working on updating our payment options.

I do not live in the United States! Can I still buy a membership?

Yes! You should be able to purchase a Dizzywood membership outside of the US, but you will be charged in US Dollars. You may be subject to an exchange fee, depending on your credit card company.

Why are you charging for membership to Dizzywood?

To provide all the cool new features that we put a lot of hard work into, we are offering users the opportunity to become Gold Explorers.

Can I continue to play Dizzywood for free?

Yes! You can still play Dizzywood for free, but a Gold membership may be necessary to use certain items or features.

How can I cancel the automatic renewal on my subscription?

Dizzywood memberships are set up to automatically renew so you can enjoy uninterrupted service. To cancel the automatic renewal for your membership, please visit this link:

You’ll be asked to provide your Dizzywood login information and press the blue continue button. Then confirm the information and click “Cancel Subscription.” Once this is done, your subscription will not be automatically renewed and membership features will no longer be available once your subscription has expired.

  2. Choose the Gold membership plan you would like to have
  3. Log in to the membership page by entering the username and password of the account you would like to have upgraded

What happens if my Gold membership expires?

As a member of Dizzywood, you’ll get access to lots of cool member-only items, but you’ll need to continue your membership in order to keep them. Items gained during your membership period will not be erased, but your access to them will be locked. Should you renew your subscription, you will be able to use these features again!

What are the symbols next to items in my backpack?

You may see certain symbols next to items in your backpack. These symbols are there to let you know what membership these are for.

Smiley Face=Beta Item (can be used forever!)

Gold Key=Gold Explorer Item (can be used while your membership is active)

Silver Key=Silver Explorer Item (can be used while your membership is active)

No Image Next to Item=Free Item (can always be used)

If you see a Silver or Gold Key next to an item, but are not able to use it when you click on it, this means that your membership has expired and you will need to upgrade or renew it in order to use these features.

Because we value all of our users, we always want to make sure that we can continue to make new areas, powers, and features to keep Dizzywood a fun place to explore! Users that are not Silver or Gold Explorers can still do lots of fun activities on Dizzywood, so you’ll still be able to chat and explore with everyone just like before. Dizzywood will continue to be a free site for everyone, while also offering the opportunity for users to become Silver or Gold Explorers if they’d like access to special stuff!

What is a Beta membership?

If you signed up for Dizzywood before February 1, 2009, you’re one of our special “Beta” players. Beta players are early explorers to Dizzywood, who got to experience the world during its early development.

What are Beta items?

Anything you got in Dizzywood before February 1, 2009 is yours to keep for free, as a special thank you for being a Beta player! These items will have a yellow “smiley face” next to them in your backpack. They will stay in your backpack and you will be able to use them every time you log into Dizzywood.

Certain items gained after this date will require a Gold membership in order to use them. No items will be removed from your backpack, but depending on your level of membership, you may not be able to use them.

I would like to be refunded for my membership.

We want you to be completely satisfied with Dizzywood. If you’re not, you can cancel your membership within 30 days of your order and we’ll give you a full refund. Please contact customer_service@dizzywood.com to do so.
